STATE AMBULANCE COMPETITONS

     Every year St. John Ambulance Brigade No. 24 (Haryana) organize State Ambulance Competitions in First Aid & Home Nursing in collaboration with any of District St. John Centre. In these competitions teams from various Educational Institutions, Police, Home Guards, Civil Defence, Railways and Factories participate.  The participants without valid certificates and proper uniform are not allowed to take part in the competitions.

OBJECTIVE: –The main objective of the State Ambulance Competitions are to maintain and increase the efficiency of the Brigade Officers/Members in rendering First Aid and Home Nursing to the people and community where ever it is needed.

                  REGISTRATION: –  No registration fee is charged from the team member/ team manager

T.A. to participants:-  Actual ordinary Bus/Train fare contingency  (To and Fro) is reimbursed to team member/ team manager by this office. No. D A is admissible.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION:

All the team members must posses Senior or Junior First Aid Certificate of  St. John Ambulance respectively as per their category. The female participants Junior and Senior must have valid Home Nursing certificate in additional to First Aid Certificates. The participants   without valid certificates and proper uniform are not allowed to take part in the competitions. The Lecturers of First Aid and Home Nursing/ Qualified Nurse and the Para Medical staff is not  allowed to participate in the competitions.  

PARTICIPATION OF WINNING TEAMS OF THE LAST STATE AMBULANCE COMPETITIONS
   Any team which won the First Prize in the last State Ambulance Competitions in any category is not eligible to compete in this meet. However, only one individual member of such team can form another team in the same division of the district and compete in forthcoming State Ambulance Competitions. The Officer-in-Charge of the District will issue a certificate to this effect.

                 LODGING AND BOARDING ARRANGEMENTS:

 Camp type boarding and lodging is provided for male and female participants separately along with their team managers.

UNIFORM: –

All the Team Members / Team Managers and others who are holding Brigade ranks will remain in their uniform at the time of inauguration and closing functions as well as during the competitions. Without uniform, teams are not allowed to participate. During the inaugural and valedictory functions Brigade members / Officers are not  allowed without uniform on stage even for receiving awards.

All the team members must posses basic training of March past, salute and obey of commands.

Teams would be awarded as per rules of competitions of National Headquarters of St. John Ambulance Brigade (India), as per details given below: –

To the members of each category who would obtain highest marks in viva-voce competitions.

BEDDING AND PERSONAL KIT:

All the teams members / teams Incharges are required to bring their light bedding  in accordance to season  and items of their personal use.  Dari/Mattress will be provided in the campus.

The criteria for constituting one team will be as under: –

PARTICIPATION:

  1. Only one team of each category can participate from each District or to be decided by the State Centre
  1. All the team members / Managers shall maintain the discipline in the camp. They shall abide by and comply with the Rules and Regulations of the State Ambulance Competitions and shall obey the orders of the Organising Authorities, issued from time to time in writing as well as verbal.
  • All team members of Ambulance Brigade division should have proper hair cutting,  proper dress up and must be Medically fit.
  1. Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner, St. John Ambulance Brigade (No 24 Haryana) has full right to reject the participation of any team, if they do not obey the rules and regulations and orders of Organising Authorities.

ENTRIES:-   Entries are invited on the attached proforma(s) which may be sent to this office by prescribed date and copy to the Hony. Secretary, District St. John Centre, Kurukshetra.  Entry (s) are not be entertained, after the due date given above.

IMPORTANT:

Without uniform no Brigade team members / Managers / Officers is allowed on the stage during the valedictory session even for awards. All concerned may please be directed.

Syllabus : The examination will be from the latest edition of First Aid Book (English) and Home Nursing Book of St. John Ambulance (India), National Headquarters, New Delhi.
